IRISH model Vogue Williams never “in a million years” thought her podcast with Joanne McNally would be the huge success it is.

The friends decided to set up their own podcast called My Therapist Ghosted Me back in April 2021.

They became an instant hit with listeners as they now have reached 2.5 million listeners per month.

They have toured all over Ireland and the UK with their podcast and now Vogue has said they never expected the podcast to take off as much as it has.

Speaking with the Irish Sun she said: “No not at all. Not in a million years.

“You want to think that something will do well but we just really wanted to work together.

“We get on so well. We’re best friends but we didn’t know if we would work well together on a podcast because I’ve done podcasts with so many people and they don’t all work.

“So just getting into studio together and we just laughed for so long doing that podcast.

“Obviously it’s cut down to 45 minutes or whatever but we spend an hour and a half just dying laughing.

“I know if I am having a stressful day and I’m doing the pod at the end of the day I just know I’m going to have such a laugh so it doesn’t feel like work either.”

Vogue is kept busy with this podcast and her other one with her husband Spencer Matthews.

Speaking about this one she said: “It’s such a different relationship.

“Joanne and I do the research for our pod but I’ll be doing the research for the Spencer and Vogue one and there’s never anything that overlaps.

“I’ll always be like, ‘That won’t work for our pod. That would be for Therapist’.

“It’s just such a different dynamic between the two of us but I love working with Spenno it’s great and I can’t wait to go on tour.”

Vogue and Spencer have a very busy household with their three young kids – Theodore, Gigi and Otto.

The 37-year-old has revealed how she managed to stay on top of her busy schedule.

“I’m very very organised. So my manager’s extremely organised.

“She’s a mom as well so she understands that I’m not going to work all the time.

“A lot of stuff is based around nursery times and when the kids are asleep or something like that because I like to get up with them in the morning, I like to spend the morning with them where I can and I always want to do bath time.

“I have a really good management team so she knows I’m not going to go for a job that’s like away for long periods of time because I just won’t do it.

“I have one that’s coming up and I’m like, ‘God I have to do it,’ but it’s going to be the longest I have ever spent away from them.

“So I’m already dreading it. It’s going to be six months away.”

She went on to gush about her kids as she said: “I love spending time with them.

“Even just the chats I have with them that’s why being away [on holiday] with them was so important.

‘LUCKY’

“I still have to work a little bit while I was away but not too much and it was just great to spend every single day with them.”

The Howth native said that she is “lucky” with how her career has progressed.

She explained: “I feel really lucky in loads of senses but I feel extremely lucky with my job because I am literally doing what I have always wanted to do.

“And I suppose it’s just evolved the way things have developed.

“Like podcasts weren’t a big thing when I was starting out and now they’re a really big thing.

“It’s a really fun pivot into something new for me because I have been doing it for a few years now.

“I always knew I wanted to do something in this industry. I always wanted to be a presenter and I just feel lucky that I was able to do that to get to do what I wanted to do.”

Vogue was recently back in Ireland and she spoke about her love at returning home.

She explained: “I love coming home.

“I don’t get to do it as much as I would like to, to be honest with you but I think come October I will be able to spend a little bit more time here which will be nice because I want to come over for the kids school holidays and stuff like that.

“Because honestly I just feel such a sense of calm when I come home I get very excited when the plane flies over Howth which does happen a lot it’s really nice.”

The business owner and her husband decided to put their Howth house on the market after they completely renovated it.

Speaking about this Vogue explained: “I haven’t sold anything yet.

“I really love that house, to be honest with you I knew it was never going to be our forever house.

FOREVER HOME

“I want somewhere we could have forever in Dublin because I really want my kids to have a very strong Irish presence in their lives.”

Heinz has teamed up with Barnardos to support their work with children and families across Ireland, by giving its iconic Beanz packaging a makeover for a second time.

Available now from major retailers such as Tesco, Dunnes and SuperValu and Aldi, for every ‘Heinz Meanz Mealz’ pack sold, Heinz will be making a donation to Barnardos Breakfast Clubs.

The children’s charity provides nutritious breakfast food, such as Heinz No Added Sugar Beanz which are naturally high in protein and fibre, to selected Barnardos centres across Ireland.

The TV presenter and podcaster joined the meals mission as an ambassador for this partnership between Barnardos and Heinz.

The Mum of three explained how her own children inspired her to help other families in need.

She said: “I can’t imagine the worry that many families must be going through.

“No one should be unsure when or where their next meal is coming from, especially children.

“Working with Heinz and Barnardos, together, we hope to not only raise awareness of this growing issue taking place on our doorstep, but to also highlight that a small, tangible act – such as buying a
pack of Heinz Beanz – can have a big impact and help support those most vulnerable in the community.”
